This worksh op is an interactive activity that uses short videos of conversations betw een faculty mentors and graduate students/postdocs to facilitate discussio n of strategies to set expectations and avoid conflicts in research teams and in classroom situations. The strategy showcased for both setting expe ctations and managing conflicts is an interest-based approach of negotiati on.
