Navigating the PhD: Managing Time and Academic Relationships

In this 3-hour works hop, plans for time management and working with others will be the main f ocus. Participants will create academic timelines for their PhD work at MS U and discus technologies and habits that can help them stay on task. Part icipants will also discuss how to manage the stress that often pervades th e life of PhD students and share strategies for overcoming writer’s block and procrastination. Additionally, discussion about selecting and working with committees will provide a space for sharing about and learning how t o communicate with faculty members about participants’ research and writin g. This workshop is better suited to students in the first 2 or 3 years of PhD work.
Registration for this workshop is required. Registration w ill open on July 1st.
