Flipped class rooms and active learning are buzz terms around innovative education. Yet , active learning strategies, particularly the flipped classroom model, also face a notable degree of skepticism and concerns about a reliance on technology and high start-up costs for educators. In this lounge, we’ll s hed light on how these challenges can be mitigated and how active learning , including the flipped classroom model, can be implemented into classro oms by TAs, post-docs, or future faculty in order to encourage light-bul b, aha! moments for students.
