Dr. Kris De Welde’s remar ks will focus on key patterns of systemic and intersectional inequities in higher education as well as strategies for overcoming the exclusionary pr actices, inequitable policies, and microlevel biases that leverage unequ al outcomes in faculty careers. Drawing on her coedited/co-authored book w ith Dr. Andi Stepnick, “Disrupting the Culture of Silence,” she will pro vide insight on the varying levels of academic life – structural, cultura l, climate – that must be addressed for lasting organizational change to occur.
