Tips for Writing a Compelling NSF Project Summary
OCT 12 : 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
webinar
The Project Summary is one of the most important parts of every NSF grant proposal. A clear and concise Project Summary will succinctly convey the scope, intellectual merit, and broader impacts of your project to make a positive first impression on reviewers and program officers. However, writing a strong Project Summary can be deceptively hard. With only a single page to work with, it can be difficult to decide which information to include and how to best frame that information for impact. This webinar will provide helpful information, advice, and resources for writing a compelling Project Summary page. Following the webinar, interested faculty are invited to send a draft of their Project Summary to ORI.editors@msu.edu for individual feedback to ensure that this document is compelling and clear.
This webinar will be presented by Dr. Sara Steenrod and Dr. Lauren Aerni-Flessner, Grant Consultants in MSU’s Office of Research & Innovation. They provide a variety of services, including individual and small group consultations, grant writing webinars, writing groups, and grant editing to help faculty develop competitive grant proposals for federal funding agencies. Please visit the Research Development and Proposal Services webpage for more information about how they can help you with your next grant proposal.
