Free Virtual Event
Wednesday, May 24 2 – 3pm EDT
About the event by Scismic
“You gain additional technical skills and increased research independence during a postdoc. These can help you in non-academic employment, if you know how to pitch your experience. This workshop will help you identify the best qualifications you bring from your postdoc position to a new role, and how to effectively communicate these throughout the job search process.”

Through self-reflection and group activities, participants in this workshop series will explore issues of power, oppression, and privilege. Participants will raise their self-awareness about social identities, identify systems of inequity and oppression, and learn a framework for cultural competency development. These concepts will be applied toward personal and organizational change, with a focus on work at MSU.
Participants are expected to attend all four sessions, which require active engagement in small and large group activities, as well as short homework reflections. Please do not sign up if you have work or other commitments that conflict with any of the sessions in the series.
The College of Natural Science is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services, and activities. Accommodations may be requested by contacting NatSci.DEI@msu.edu.
