Dr. Budd Hall is co-chair of UNESCO’ s CBRSRHE and professor of community development at the University of Vict oria, Canada. He was the founding director of the Office of Community Bas ed Research and former dean of education at the University of Victoria. He has served as the director of research to the National Institute of Adult Education in Tanzania, the secretary general of the International Counci l for Adult Education, and the chair of Adult Education and Community Dev elopment at the University of Toronto. He has worked with Rajesh Tandon si nce 1978, when they collaborated in the creation of the International Par ticipatory Research Network. He is a member of the Adult Education Interna tional Hall of Fame, holds an honorary doctorate from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, and has both an undergraduate degree in politi cal science and a master’s degree in education from Michigan State Univers ity. His most recent books are Strengthening Community University Research Partnerships: Global Perspectives (with Rajesh Tandon and Crystal Trembla y) and Training the Next Generation of Community Based Researchers (with R ajesh Tandon, Walter Lepore and Wafa Singh). He is also a poet.
