Developing a Robust and Sustainable Mentoring Network
In this workshop, graduate student and postdoctoral participants will be urged to think about the proactive roles they can play in ‘mentoring up’ – strategically and authentically negotiating their constellation of mentoring relationships. Using this lens, participants will be brought through a series of guided conversations and exercises to help them think about how they might ‘map’ their mentoring networks, anchored by professional competencies, to empower themselves to optimize all mentoring relationships. Proactive engagement does not discount the responsibilities of the mentor – it instead will help participants think about what they can do to get (and contribute) to professional relationships.
Registration is required. Registration period is 1/15/19 - 2/21/19, or until capacity has been reached.
