In this 3-hour workshop, plans for time management and working with others will be the main focus. Participants will create academic timelines for their PhD work at MSU and discus technologies and h abits that can help them stay on task. Participants will also discuss how to manage the stress that often pervades the life of PhD students and sha re strategies for overcoming writer’s block and procrastination. Addition ally, discussion about selecting and working with committees will provide a space for sharing about and learning how to communicate with faculty me mbers about participants’ research and writing. This workshop is better s uited to students in the first 2 or 3 years of PhD work. Students RSVP'ing for pizza lunch should plan on staying until 1:00.
