2022 MSU Learning Abroad Conference – Coaches Needed!
The Learning Abroad Conference is put on by Education Abroad every spring, and provides undergraduates and early graduate students with the opportunity to present their experience with learning abroad.
The conference is looking to fill two roles for the 2022 conference, which will be held on March 18th, 2022.
Coaches (3-5 needed): This committee will be active from mid-January through the LAC. Inperson committee meetings are not required. The committee chairs will be responsible for recruiting coaches. Each coach will be assigned a group of three to five conference presenters in mid-January. A memo detailing what coaches need to cover with their respective presenters will be sent along with the coaching assignments. They will be required to meet with each presenter prior to Monday, February 28th, 2022 to discuss the content and style of their conference presentations.
Moderators (5-6 needed): This committee will be active from early February through the LAC. Inperson committee meetings are not required. Moderators will be assigned one or more panels that they will chair at the LAC. They are responsible for reading their assigned proposals in advance, introductions, and timekeeping at their panels; and facilitating Q&A. Depending on the number of proposals we accept for our upcoming conference, we will need up to 12 members to serve on the moderation committee. We will also need several people to serve as back-up moderators in case people are absent the day of the event.
